Server issue

Featured Replies

Today I attempted to install a docker container, Ubooquity, and for some reason if failed to install, afterwards the docker menu disappeared and it appeared that the docker part of UnRaid had crashed, so I attempted to reboot the server. I stopped the array at which point I began seeing messages about attempts to unmount shares, and the messages kept coming and coming and coming with no end in site. The GUI became unresponsive so I SSH'd into the server and issued a reboot command, it came back up fine, although its running a parity check which I find a bit odd considering I had cleanly dismounted the array, and the Ubooquity docker image was orphaned, so I deleted it. Without seeing logs, which I can  upload if necessary, can anyone shed any light on what might of happened?

As the normal shutdown from the web interface was not successfully completed, the status of the array saved on the flash drive was not changed from running to stopped.  Therefore when Unraid started it saw that the status was not the stopped state like it should have been and therefore assumed an unclean shutdown and automatically started the parity check.

I would suggest that you install the powerdown plugin which adds support for cleanly shutting the system down from the command line in circumstances such as yours.
