Is there anyway to control system fans based on HD temp?

Featured Replies

my hard drives are reporting 40~45 celsius temperature, and although I am not too concerned of the temperature, I am concerned that my pwm capable system fans are not increasing the fan speed (system temperature isn't increasing, so I'm assuming bios thinks it's fine...). Is there any plugin that allows me to control system fans based on Hard Drive temperature? Would love to investigate...

What is the issue you're facing?

Have you checked the Fan Settings in the BIOS? Might be set to silent mode.

I think I found the issue my mobo sysfan, although they have 4pins,I don't think they support the PWMs.

is there anything I can do? I don't want to use CPUFANS as I didn't want the fans to be associated to CPU use. Is there some sort of usb pwm adapter I could use to adjust my fan speed?
