imgburn and using a blurray drive under vm

Featured Replies

So i have passed through my blurray drive and got it to appear in windows 10 however when i burn an image it gets to synchronizing cache and hangs. Has anyone got a drive to pass through for things like imgburn and makemkv?

Okay so i have a very simple solution to this problem i simply used a sata to usb converter (in this case i used my old xbox 360 usb pro for flashing xbox 360 drive firmware) and viola i can now use my blurray drive similar to bare metal.

Does the usb burn at the same speeds as the sata did on bare metal?

burned a blurray at full speed just fine so this seems to be a decent solution. unfortunately most of the sata to usb adapters want to do power as well but the x360 usb pro is nice since i have it mounted in my case and it behaves the same as being connected to sata
