February 13, 201610 yr Using latest version of Preclear_Disk.sh on unRaid 6.1.8. I had a disk already completed a preclear but got hung up on boot record (used the GUI version of preclear). I wanted to skip the first step (write all sectors), so used the -W parameter. But also wanted an email when its done, so did -m too. But it would not take both commands. preclear_disk.sh -W -m /dev/sdi was the command I used. When I pressed enter, it just displayed the help page. Am I missing something?
February 13, 201610 yr This is the downside of the command line, syntax has to be perfect! The -m parameter needs an email address or the -M parameter used, AND a working Mail command, not sure it is working. You can try it, but may be better off forgetting about email at the command line. For more parameter help, you can try preclear_disk.sh -h or just read the top of the preclear script itself, just after the version info.
