February 14, 201610 yr I'm trying to get the HDhomerun Docker installed using this repository: https://github.com/Yoshiofthewire/docker-templates/tree/master/urlxl Found in this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45719.15 However, regardless of whether I add that to my box of repositories, or make it my only one, or even have none listed... I get the same list of templates to choose from when I select Add Container. I've tried logging out, closing the window, disabling/re-enabling dockers, nothing seems to change it. I'm I running into a caching issue of some sort, or am I doing something wrong?

Repositories are a PITA, due to formatting, etc. IIRC you've got to make sure that you have an enter after each line. Can't remember, but you might also have to hit check for updates
February 14, 201610 yr Author Hmm i tried hitting enter twice after the line. I also had it check for updates, but no dice. I still don't see it listed. It's gotta be something I'm doing wrong since others in the thread got it to install. Just clicking on the link takes me to the tree and directory with the XML file.

Been over a year, since I've used a repository, (and probably much of the community is in the same boat). Assuming there's no problem with the template(s) in the repository, there's two things you can do. On your flash, make a folder called Private/Yoshi in the config/plugins/community.applications folder. Download the template from the repository and save it there. Or, create a private repository for use within CA. (instructions on how to do this are in CA's manual). Admittedly, its been forever since I've tested option 2, but option 1 works. Oh yeah, and if you don't have CA installed, install it.
February 14, 201610 yr Author Awesome, I'll give it a shot and report back. Thanks for the help! Also, I don't have CA installed, so i'll do that first. Its been months since I've even logged into my tower since it's been running so well and I don't demand a lot from it. A credit to unRAID really...when I was running WHS I felt like i was messing with it every couple weeks because something crashed or it needed to be rebooted.

It makes it too easy to find and install apps that you're going to keep playing with the server to find out what it can really do for you
February 14, 201610 yr Author I tried installing CA but I'm getting the following error. plugin: installing: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/plugins/community.applications.plg plugin: downloading https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/plugins/community.applications.plg plugin: downloading: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Squidly271/community.applications/master/plugins/community.applications.plg ... done Warning: simplexml_load_file(): /tmp/plugins/community.applications.plg:1: parser error : Document is empty in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 193 Warning: simplexml_load_file(): in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 193 Warning: simplexml_load_file(): ^ in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 193 Warning: simplexml_load_file(): /tmp/plugins/community.applications.plg:1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 193 Warning: simplexml_load_file(): in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 193 Warning: simplexml_load_file(): ^ in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 193 plugin: xml parse error

I know there is loads more I can do with this thing, but mostly i just backup files and store/stream media from it. I am really curious to see how this DVR works out though. It sounds promising.
February 14, 201610 yr That's actually probably the same reason why you can't populate the template from the repository. you're server is having trouble communicating with the outside world. Try in network settings changing DNS from auto (or whatever it says) to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
February 14, 201610 yr Author Ahhh... you know now that you say that i was having issues accessing my Plex Server outside the house. I switched routers a couple months ago, and I never got the plex server accessible from the outside since. I did a search for the error in the CA thread, and was just reading about some suggestions. I'll give yours a try first. Thanks again for your patience.

February 14, 201610 yr Author So in my case, somehow my line for Gateway was blank... filled that in and it seems to work now (i changed the DNS to be safe as well). This makes a lot of sense now..... I really thought it had been awhile since they came out with an update for unRAID. I was on version 6.01
February 14, 201610 yr There's your next problem... You really should be on 6.1.8 (and its also required for CA / other plugins now anyways)
February 14, 201610 yr Author That was the first thing I did was upgrade unRAID. I never suspected a problem previously because anytime i clicked check for updates (admittedly not in a few months before this weekend) it said no updates. It didn't return any errors or anything, so i assumed I was just running the newest version. CA installed with no hitch now. I see my templates have updated too, so i'm on to try the DVR software next. Thanks again!
