Script for creating snapshots using rsync

Featured Replies

Hi!

I am a newbie at bash scripting so please excuse the immaturity of my coding skills.

I am sure, simple tasks have been made more complex, but the result is that matters.

I also use UnRaid for less than two months!

I have finished the part of making local snapshots, and now I need to start reading about rsync so that I get similar results with remote server.

I want my Unraid server to send snapshots to remote Synology server.

It's still work in progress and I know that I started building from the bottom to top!

Bear in mind that I am a bash NOOB, using linux only with Unraid and some experimental builds in the past (debian, arch, gentoo).

Also, I have two babies around so I was working 5 minutes at a time!

I am waiting for your comments!

Thank you all for your time!
