February 17, 201610 yr I'm pretty sure this was caused by loose connectors from my sas expander. I moved recently and I think the cables got knocked loose. The issue is one disk was rebuilding and another failed during rebuild. I assume I am going to lose some data, and that's fine. The problem is I can't get it to format the disks or rebuild with both disks failed. I haven't had time to look into it any further than following the normal disk replacement procedures. Both disks say they are being emulated with orange triangles next to them. If you hit rebuild nothing happens. If you hit format disks nothing happens. I don't know what to do next. Help?
February 17, 201610 yr Community Expert Make sure you’re on release v6.1.6 or up -Take a screenshot of current disk assignments -Go to tools and click new config -Reassign all disks, make sure parity is on the parity slot -Before starting array check “parity is already valid” and start array -Stop array, unassign the disk you were rebuilding (the 1st one that failed) -Start array -Stop array -Reassign the disk unassigned above -Start array to begin rebuild If rebuild fails again post diagnostics.
