February 23, 201610 yr ordered some new parts over the weekend, wanted to share my build with everyone see if i miss anything. everything should get here tomorrow and i can wait to put it all together. anyway on to the parts: Motherboard: ASRock X99 OC Formula/3.1 CPU: Intel Core i7-5930K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.5 GHz Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) SSD for VM OS: SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 256GB SSD for Cache: Old Intel from previous computer x2 HDD: 1Tb x6 and a new 3Tb drive planing to run a few VMs windows 7, 8.1 and maybe 10. also want to setup windows server 2012 R2 and a few Linux distros to play with. want to run my plex server as well. I have not used unRAID before other than a quick boot to play with settings. any suggestions? things to watch for? I am still fairly new to linux so i am hoping this goes smooth and i dont have to fix to many problems.
