December 4, 200916 yr Just started up my machine and I see the typical 3 disk arrangment. Before I format it and move all my data over I was wondering - if I choose to purchase a license down the road for the Plus version (6 disks) - will I be able to add 3 more to this setup? Or will I have to start from scratch and lose my data? Just asking because I'm afraid of moving all of my data over and in 6 months being desperate for space to offload and rebuild when I have money to upgrade to Plus.

Just add the license key, and reboot the machine. you will then be able to add more disks and not lose the data that is on the others.
December 4, 200916 yr This is a good question, and I considered adding a FAQ entry for it, but thought better to expand the last paragraph of the FAQ entry below. If others feel that a separate question would also be helpful, I'll add it. How is unRAID licensed?
December 12, 200916 yr Author Awesome. What about the GUID being the key? I have a couple old 1GB USB sticks but if it craps out on me is there a license transfer option to a new drive or just repurchase?
