User share permissions botched.

Featured Replies

I have several user shares setup, but only one is exported as read/write and I just noticed a problem with it.  I can write files to it fine (and these I can delete), but I just attempted to delete a directory and I apparently do not have permissions to do so any longer.

It appears, at some point, one of the beta upgrades changed permissions on my files.  I experienced this on a couple of my read only user shares, but was able to fix it by running a chmod against the disk share.  This did not work for this share, however.

So far I have found that I can delete files and even rename folders, but not delete folders unless they have been renamed.

I've tried setting the user share to read only and then back to read/write with no luck.  Disk share permissions appear to still be intact as I was able to delete that way.  I am not using user level security.

Any idea why this has happened and how I can fix it?  I'll provide any other information that may be useful.  I am currently on 4.5b12 but am rebooting to 4.5 Final now.
