December 13, 200916 yr Hello, Tonight I have upgraded from 4.5-beta11 to 4.5 final. Instead of just copying bzimage and bzroot to the flash like it says in the readme I extracted the whole "unRAID Server 4.5.zip" to the flash drive. My mistake for rushing ahead without reading the readme like I have done every time until now The server boots up ok to the login prompt but on the web page the array is stopped due to Invalid Configuration. If anyone can assist me getting the array running again I will be extremely grateful.
December 13, 200916 yr Go to the devices page and re-assign your disks to the slots they originally held. The array should then let you start it.
December 13, 200916 yr Author Thank you so much, I have done what you suggested and am back up and running. I reassigned the drives and then sucessfully started the array. I will probably do a parity check soon as well. I then realised that I had lost lost all the configuration (network drives not mapping on the PCs - my fault for overwriting it) so I stopped the array, re-enabled the user shares and am back to normal. Fantastic. Thanks again.
December 13, 200916 yr It's amazing how even catastrophic errors (deleting the entire configuration is catastrophic) can be handled pretty quickly (except for a parity check) in unraid.
