dropping IP/dhcp

Featured Replies

I am running 6.0.1 and am having an issue with my build dropping its web interface after about 2 days.  After 2 days, I am not able to remote to it, but can plug a monitor up to the box and perform tasks from the prompts.  When I look in the IP history for my router, it says the status is "pending"  This was with a static IP.  I changed to a DHCP address last week and I get a similar problem.  The console says that the DHCP lease is expired and the router status shows that it is offline.  I did a capture a syslog before I rebooted for the time it was set to static, and the time it was set to dhcp.  I can post sections of those if necessary.

Any help towards a resolution would be greatly appreciated.

I am attaching the syslog from when the machine was set to static.

First off, attached BOTH of those syslogs.

Second, I doubt if many folks are really going to able to help you even with the syslogs.  You are running a positively ancient version of the version 6 software  (6.0.1 by your account) and there were a LOT of fixes/improvements incorporated to get us to the stable version 6.1.9 of today.  You should seriously think about upgrading and then see if you are still having issues.
