I had an issue where I was getting invalid parity. I tested the drive and the drive is ok but was still showing invalid parity. So I removed it as a parity drive. Started the array without the parity drive, then stopped it. When I try to add the drive back as a parity drive to rebuild the array I can see the drive but its ghosted and won't let me select it. What am I missing? Do I have to clear the drive or something? I saw a message thread that said they created a new config? But will I loose the data on the drives? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You won't loose your data doing a new config, just be very sure that you know which drive is Parity and reassign it to that slot.  If you were to assign a data drive as Parity the data on it would be lost.

 

It is probably worth posting a Diagnostics so we can see if there are any errors.
