System went totally unresponsive

Featured Replies

Just had my server stop responding to anything; even just a ping from network machine. I changed to a local monitor plugged into the box, and the "Waitng for lo to become free" error was shown but server would not respond to the keyboard (ctrl+c).

I had to hit the reset button and start a parity check.

Any ideas?

I had just started a 5-run preclear on a new HDD via the preclear plugin and had 5 PMS streams going with 3 transcodes. Running a Xeon E5-2670 now.

Running PMS, plexpy, NZBget, couchpotato, sickbeard, cadviser, mumbleserver, nginx, plexrequests, and transmission docker containers.

Did I just have too much going on? Kinda rough if it was the preclear that made it self-destruct, since it takes a few days to run all those cycles.

Please tell me what files to post (and what I should remove for privacy), but I don't have any logs from today since it was a hard reboot.

Running 6.1.9.

Thanks!

I'd start with a Memtest, from the boot menu, and make it a long test, at least over night.

What we want is always the diagnostics (Tools -> Diagnostics), when you can.  Please see Need help? Read me first!  Recent versions already take care of privacy concerns in the diagnostics files.
