usb device connect, then disconnect ?

I'm new to unRAID and need some help / info... :-)

 

I have installed unRAID and a VM with Debian...

 

My problem is that i have connected a USB device and the VM detect it on ttyUSB0, but it disconnect right away...

Should the ttyUSB0 not stay connected or ?

I've had similar perf related issues with Fedora 25 and Ubuntu 16.04 even without passing a USB device through. I also get NMI messages. I've posted, but nobody has bothered to respond. My take is that, you're better off running VMs (if they really matter to you) on a different box with ESXi until there is some assistance here from the community. I don't think it's my HW that's the issue as I have no parity errors nor any crashes. Running a memtest at this point just seems like a hassle, but I will probably get to it. 

AMD Ryzen builds are enticing but I don't know if there are any issues as yet with unRaid. Plus, I don't want to build another system and possibly troubleshoot it.
