August 6, 20169 yr Did you happen to unplug the flash drive when plugging in the UPS's USB cable? Either way, the OS has odds on lost track of the flash drive. A reboot should fix the issue. If it continues, then you're going to have to start playing around with utilizing different USB ports If you click on Log, you're probably going to see a bunch of "bread" errors in the log.
August 6, 20169 yr Author I didnt remove the flash drive but now that I think of it I did change the location of the flash drive last night. So that I didnt have a flash drive sticking out of the back of the machine I got one of those usb header plugs so I would not have to worry about it. I removed the plate off the back and laid it in the case. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K82WQ7K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
August 6, 20169 yr If you did that without a reboot, the flashdrive will no longer be able to be seen. But other than that, some ports don't behave as well as others, so it'll be down to experimentation as to which ports are the best to put things into.
