Errors During Initial Parity Sync

I just set up a new system with a 2.0 TB parity drive and a 2.0 TB first disk.

Both are recognized by the bios and UNRAID.

When I first started UNRAID, it began a parity check.  I clicked 'format unformatted drives'.  That took a few minutes.

Now parity sync is going but the drive shows no temperature and has millions of errors although the sync continued.

What does this indicate?
