Strange Dell H310 issue

Featured Replies

I currently am running 3 SuperMicro SAS2LP-MV8 cards in my machine but am experiencing the issues that other SAS2LP users have so i bought 3 H310's and crossflashed them using the instructions i found in another thread here on the Lime Tech boards. Individually the cards work without any issues but when i use multiple cards then things start to get weird.

- If all 3 cards are in it only detects the top and bottom cards

- If the top 2 cards are in it only detects the top card

- If the bottom 2 cards are in it detects no cards

- If 1 and 3 are in it detects both cards.

My board is an ASRock Pro4-M and i would have thought is was a slot issue but since the 3 supermicro's work fine im assuming it some sort of other issue but have no idea what it could be.

The H310's are all running the LSI9211-8i IT (P20) firmware and since i have a newer board i followed Maglin's steps on how to do it with a UEFI board, i also went with his recommendation in that post to flash the bios as well.

Any ideas would be welcome as i am at my wits end here.

FYI: Maglins steps are here: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12767.msg407834#msg407834

are there an option on your motherboard BIOS to disable ROM's for particular slots?

if Yes, you can try to disable them..

Off the top of my head in not sure but can look for it.  Would it say something about roms or are there other keywords I should be looking for?
