USB Keyboard - Would it work if plugged in to a running UnRaid3 server?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to add a couple more UnRaids into my life, one of which will be in the same room as me at my office.  I've got the bits, I'm just waiting for my 2nd UnRaid key license validation from Tom (since last Thursday, is he away?) & info on how much licenses for key's 3 & 4 will cost me.

I use a posh Logitech Bluetooth keyboard & mouse in my office, so I'm unlikely to be able to use those with a KVM switch.  My screen has a spare VGA input so I could easily toggle between the UnRaid & my work PC Screen, but would I be able to plug a USB Keyboard into an already running UnRaid server & use it?  Are the USB keyboard drivers loaded by default?  I don't currently have a USB keyboard, so I can't try at home.

I don't want to leave a regular keyboard plugged in all the time as it would have to sit on my work desk.  Adding a standard keyboard if & when it is  needed wouldn't be that easy as I'd have to get to the back of the server.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark.
