Array does not start

Featured Replies

I have just set up my first server and would like to run unraid v6 on it. I am still using the trial key.

I can assign disks and they are marked as "new". When I hit the "Start Array" button ("Parity is valid" box is checked), I have to confirm and the array should start. But the only thing that happens is a browser refresh and the array stays stopped.

The problem seems similar to https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40713.0 but the suggested solution (editing the 'config/disk.cfg' file) didn't work because there is no "startstate=XXX" entry.

I tried chrome & firefox, and I was able to preclean the disks. But nothing helped.

As I am new to unraid, I don't know what to do next. Any help would be very appreciated  :D

What makes you think you should check "the Parity is valid" box? You don't have parity yet.

Because exactly nothing happened with the box unchecked

Maybe try it without assigning any cache disks to begin with. Looks like you have 2 nvme assigned to the pool. NVME support is fairly new. Not sure if anyone else is doing that with 2 yet.

Thank you for the input :)

Unfortunately the array won't even start without any cache  :-\

I am using a HPE H220 HBA and suspected it to conflict with unraid, because it makes the boot very slow. I already tried to start the array without it, but it is still not working.

Well thank you, I can understand.

I removed the HBA controller and used the normal SATA ports.

But it will still not start the array. I will check my other system components while using your search tip
