Advanced vs Basic view

Featured Replies

I would like to suggest a makeover of the current basic vs advanced settings. I can't count the number of times that a person has asked for support because the desired setting was hidden in basic, and the toggle to switch views is not obvious. My personal use of the GUI would be fine without the basic view in ANY of the pages I can think of, can someone present a valid use case for keeping a basic view available? If a good case is made, maybe auditing each advanced only item to see if it might need to be moved to basic view?

I can name 2 things off the top of my head that should be in the basic view.

In the VM edit view, VNC video driver

In the Docker settings, pretty much the entire page, possibly excluding the authoring mode and docker version info.

I would also love this feature. Just a toggle in Settings to set Advanced view to be the system-wide default.

Thanks
