Since you are adding more hardware support at this time, can you check if this SATA controller and port multiplier will work?

If this can work in the new release it should effectively give us 10 ports of SATAII connections. And if your motherboard has 4-ports onboard it would equal a total of 14 ports, the new max. Plus we can use the PCI-e x1 slot and get faster speeds.

The 2-port controller should work fine.  The linux port multiple support is still 'experimental' at this time.
