Networking issues

Featured Replies

I've just started using unraid on a trial key.

However I keep having issues with the GUI.

Randomly the GUI will stop working and at the same time VMs are not contactable.

Nothing on the console has changed. I can still use the console and sometimes be able to ssh to it.

I've attached the diagnostic zip from the last time this happened.

It was around 15:00.

Any help is appreciated. Trying to get my head around it all.

** Update **

I'm able to replicate the issue.

When i'm using a lot of bandwidth within a vm to the host network it crashes the VM and GUI for Unraid.

Could this be network drivers?

It looks like a cable issue to me, or a bad switch port or a bad USB to Ethernet adapter. The eth1 Ethernet link is going up and down and at the time your diagnostics were captured it had negotiated a 100 Mb/s link. Try using just the motherboard NIC or add a PCIe NIC.

Thank you.

That was my thought too.

I'll replace it tomorrow and give you an update.
