January 29, 20179 yr Hi I checked today and found a red X next to my disk one. I have attached the log files and smart reports. The server bacame unresponsive a few days ago, I attempted to bring down the array but it hung and then I was unable to access the web interface so I did a forcde restart. I did not notice the failed drive when the system came back up following the restart. Do you think I should RMA the drive, rebuild it or just allow unraid to retrust it? Thanks tower-smart-20170129-2243.zip tower-diagnostics-20170129-1906.zip
January 29, 20179 yr It looks rather ill. It should be replaced. If it's under warranty then certainly RMA it. Also turn on notifications so that you'll be warned of problems in future.

January 30, 20179 yr Lots of reallocated sectors and masses of read errors. Reallocated sectors are not in themselves bad, if the number remains stable but yours has too many for my liking and are sufficient reason to RMA the disk. Read errors are unacceptable as the will prevent another failed disk from being rebuilt successfully.
