Appdata and VM Data Gone After Reboot

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an issue that I am unable to find a solution for. I had to do an unclean reboot of my system. After the system restarted I checked the web ui and noticed the appdata and vm data shares are empty. All of my data is still available. The appdata and VM data uses 2 ssd caches in the default mirror setup. I noticed they were not auto mount so I mounted them and turned on the auto mount toggle. However the array was already started and doing a parity check.

After doing this I am still not seeing the data in the appdata and vm data shares. I do see that the ssd cache pool has the normal amount of data 120gbs out of 500gb used. So the data is their I believe, I just can't get to it. I am very new to unRAID so this is probably been answered.

Since their is no appdata or vm data all of my VMs and Dockers are no longer available. Any help with this is appreciated.

UPDATE: For some reason the SSDs are under unassigned devices. I am currently running a parity check after the reboot. I assume after its done I can stop the array and assigned the devices to the cache. That should fix the issue I assume.

However what do I need to do so that I don't have to go through this process in the future? Was the issue that the SSDs were not mounted and I already had the array started? Should auto mounting them prevent this issue in the future?

I had that happen to me once. For some odd reason on a reboot my SSD was not selected as my Cache Drive. I simply added it back as my Cache and it has survived multiple Reboots since.
