March 31, 201016 yr This may be a stupid suggestion, misplaced in the Forum. I'm very new at this so please forgive and bear with me. After fumbling around for quite some time, I finally discovered how to add users. While the documentation clearly states that you must "enable user shares" in the Shares tab, doing so does not allow you to add Users in the User's tab. Nowhere could I find any instruction on how to enable adding Users in the Users Tab. Finally, I found an obscure setting in the Settings Tab labeled "Share Security", with no reference to "Users" unless you stop the Array and click on the pull down menu. Once I experimented with this, I found that it unlocked the ability to add Users! So, my suggestion is that someone please update the Documentation (official Wiki) with instructions for adding Users that include the required steps; ie. Enabling User Shares in the Settings Tab, and Choosing "User Level" in the Share Security pull-down under the Settings Tab. If I somehow missed the section in the Official doc that provides these instructions I would be grateful for anyone pointing it out to me. thanks Scott

Send them an e-mail pointing to this thread. Their manual is very out of date. It does not even mention the cache drive.
March 31, 201016 yr Im pretty sure the manual is pretty clear. Simple secuirty is simple. if you read the description youll understand that that means no user level secuirty, hence no user accounts to add. it even says that somehwere in the wiki

There is no question it was not at all clear to me. Simple security may be more simple to some than to others. On the other hand, a reasonable person can argue that well written and updated documentation can only help improve the paying users' experience.

It takes a newcomer to notice the *glaring* omissions. Being new a couple of months ago I ran into the same things. Finally, I just started posting questions in the forum rather than try to decode the manual. It's ok as a reference once you know, but until then just don't be hesitant to post questions because they do get answered quickly.
April 1, 201016 yr to add user accounts, you need to be using a sharing system taht requires them read teh whole fmanual, not just the 'how to add users' and it comes up fine.
