May 12, 20179 yr Hi guys I have a Kingston Data Traveller 8GB usb stick with unraid on it, but I cant seem to get the Asus Ranger VII bios to recognize it as a device it can auto boot from. This is what happens when I boot: Bios appears I then have to go into boot menu and choose Kingston Data Traveller non UEFI. Has anyone else had this issue? I would be great to be able to boot directly from the usb without have to access the boot menu. I have set the boot options to only have the usb drive but it made no difference. Thanks

May 12, 20179 yr https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/177802-how-to-boot-off-usb-on-asus-vii-ranger-z97/ I'll give this a go, move the usb stick round to one of the front usb 2 slots
May 13, 20179 yr If it's showing up as a uefi check and remove boot security. Had an issue finding this on my asus board too. That will allow legacy style boot to unraid.
