Kaltar
I've just added my parity drive to my array, but I think it is lacking ALOT in speed. I'm seeing reads and writes speed about 37-40 mb/s. Is this normal speed or do I have a serious speed problem ? Quote Link to comment
Kaltar
As you Command Johnnie I've also just noticed the 38 errors on disk 1. It doesn't seem to rise though. tower-diagnostics-20170517-2216.zip Quote Link to comment

As for the low speed, I know HP Microservers have a write cache setting in the bios (disable by default) that's gives similar write speed, speeds become normal when it's enable. Quote Link to comment
Kaltar
Hmm don't remeber having turned off write cache. but will check. As for the USB, nobody seems to be able to find out what those error are. I have only one drive in the server, that is the Unraid USB key. It has been the same error no matter what key I used, I have tried different keys, 4-5 keys, usb 2 and 3's Quote Link to comment

Look for a bios update but probably not serious (except for filling your syslog), you main problem ATM is disk1. Quote Link to comment
Kaltar
Yeah i'm using the newest bios on my proliant ML310e g8 server, så that can't help sadly. As for the Write Cache, you are a GOD sent Johnnie, didn't know I had messed with it, but apparently I had, because now i'm seeing read and write speeds in the range of about 155-160mb/s on my WD Reds. As for the Disk 1 I think it is still under warrenty, so I'll just have to move all data away from it and fill out the RMA. Quote Link to comment
