cyberrad
Over the course of the last few weeks I have been having issues with the system freezing temporarily. I usually notice it when watching Plex as the video usually freezes for a few minutes and then resumes. I have been unable to pinpoint a cause as to why this is happening and would appreciate any insight that can be offered. Fix Common Problems recently gave an alert of "Out Of Memory errors detected on your server". I am unsure how I could have reached this threshold as the system has 64GB of memory. I started running the preclear script on 4 6GB WD Red drives yesterday. Could that have caused the memory alert? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any additional information. cyberrad
I have confirmed that the memory depletion was due to the preclear script running on the 4 drives. I stopped the preclear script and regained control of the GUI. So I guess that was a separate issue. I still have the system freezing issue. Quote Link to comment
Drewster727
Try this: Slightly different issue, but could be the same solution. Quote Link to comment
cyberrad
Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and made those two settings changes. Are there other optimizations that you see I should make to the system? Quote Link to comment
