"Unmountable disk present" (SOLVED)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I recently upgraded my unRAID server to 6.3.5 and having done so and rebooted it now says that I have an "Unmountable disk present" and disk2 won't mount. All the SMART data says that nothing is wrong however a parity check completed a day or so ago (before this issue) returned with "1 error" (I don't know if this is related or not). What does this mean and is there a way to fix it without formatting the drive and rebuilding the array?

Thanks in advance.

Which file do you want as there's quite a lot of files?

P.S.: disk2 has a few UDMA_CRC errors, monitor that attribute for a few weeks and if there's an increase of 2 or more replace that SATA cable.

199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count 0x003e 200 199 000 Old_age Always - 12

Thank you, that solved my problem, the disk now mounts.

The "UDMA_CRC_Error_Count", which value am I monitoring VALUE, WORST, THRESH or RAW_VALUE? Also, could this be caused by the cheap PCIe sata card (that it's plugged into) or just the cable?

The RAW value (12), controller is a possibility but cable is much more likely, so replace that first if it keeps increasing.
