Two issues:

1) lots of errors like these during the clearing of 2 disks, despite them the clear seems successful:

2) after the clearing finished disks don't format, trying to format /dev/ ??

I'm guessing that stopping and re-starting the array will fix this but can't for now as I have a busy VM.

Full diags attached.

Edit: Like I suspected stopping and re-starting the array allowed me to format both disks.
