Starting array/unmountable disks

Featured Replies

Totally new to unraid and a completely new system/HDDs. I had started the parity sync previously but stopped it midway when I found out that I should pre-clear the disks first. I did that and started they array/parity sync and now I get the message in the picture attached. Fix common problems also says:

disk1 (WDC_WD80EFAX-68LHPN0_7SGHEUGC) has file system errors (No file system (32)) If the disk if XFS / REISERFS, stop the array, restart the Array in Maintenance mode, and run the file system checks. If the disk is BTRFS, then just run the file system checksIf the disk is listed as being unmountable, and it has data on it, whatever you do do not hit the format button. Seek assistance HERE

I haven't even formatted the disks before. Should I stop the parity sync? What steps should I be doing? Thanks!

Pre-clearing the disks was not required - it is just used in a new array to confidence the disks.  Disks that are pre-cleared will have no file system so you need to select the option to format the drives.

Ok. So I should stop the parity sync before doing so, yes? Thanks :)
