November 6, 20178 yr I recently upgraded my Unraid system, CPU was previously some old dual core AMD FX chip (can't remember exactly now) and the CPU i'm now using is a Xeon E5620. Everything is working fine except Unraid only seems to utilise two of the cores: If I start something encoding it will show 100% cpu load in the dashboard but top will only show it at 50%, I'm also confused as to how these CPU numbers line up with which cores/threads when assigning them to a VM:
November 7, 20178 yr you might list the complete specs of the system you are on and what version of unraid you are running. most likely it is using all cores, they are just numbered incorrectly and showing on the graph wrong (this occurs on 6.3.x with hp proliant servers, as well as a few others.)

Ok that would explain things, it is a HP Proliant ML330 G6 running 6.3.5

I ran an earlier version of 6.4 rc something and it seems to have sorted many issues. But all 3 of my hp's run 6.2.4 and are very stable.
