Help installing Hadoop sandbox Docker on Unraid

Featured Replies

Hello experts.  I have been using Unraid for several years now primarily as a Plex server and general file server.  Recently my work has given me an opportunity to work with Hadoop.  Hortonworks has a free downloadable Hadoop sandbox .tar file docker which I'm assuming is meant more for a straight Linux install, in addition to their VirtualBox, VMWare and Mac OS and Windows docker offerrings.  I want to use the extra drive space on my Unraid server and its builtin docker functionality, but I don't believe there is a github template repository for this sandbox install.  I attempted to do a Linux command line install by following Hortonworks instructions "docker load -i <hadoop-docker-image.tar>", but keep getting a "Not enough space" error message.

Would anyone here have any pointers on how to install this sandbox file?  I'm on latest Unraid version running on a separate Supermicro box.

Sounds like your docker image size is too small.

Is the docker image size something I can adjust without disrupting all my existing dockers?  I guess the built-in Unraid docker configuration utility does all of this automatically.  I'm worried about essentially bypassing this tool and using the command line.

Thank you very much.
