One piece of advice: keep these puppies cool. And don't worry about the whole firmware mess. Of my nine of these drives only the two I bought in 2008 had the "bad" firmware. All purchases since have been an ok version of the firmware. These are safe to buy and use in Unraid, in fact I would take these over those terrible Seagate 5900 RPM 1.5TB drives any day of the week....
