larson92
Newbie question: Is it possible to install unraid on a virtual machine? My idea is to install it on a Ubuntu host machine running KVM. The reasons are: 1) Ubuntu gives more flexibility for other applications running on the same hardware. 2) Running your OS on a flash drive is a little weird, and it causes issues with some add-on applications. Please let me know if I my reasoning is okay or if I am out to lunch... :-) Thanks! Link to comment

You can make an unRAID test environment in a VM but the drives are virtual. It's possible to install unRAID on a full slackware distro but it's a DIY process. Link to comment
