Killer_B
Saw this today, might be of some worth for those who have MC in their areas. It appears to be a retail drive, specs make it look as though it might be an EADS model, but haven't been able to verify to date, at least through Google search, the model # doesn't show up on WD's site either. Part Number WD15000CSRTL Form Factor 3.5" Interface SATA 3.0Gb/s Capacity 1.5TB Cache 32MB RPM 7,200 RPM Drive Ready Time 14.3 sec Data Transfer Rate Up to 300MBps Manufacturer Warranty 3 year limited warranty edit: This is a WD15EARS 64MB model. Rajahal
This is likely one of WD's Blue drives, as both EADS and EARS drives are 5400 rpm. Link to comment
Killer_B
It lists it as green. http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0326595 Link to comment
Killer_B
It is a 64mb cache EARS model. Link to comment
Rajahal
Yeah, this is confusing. The picture is of a green EARS drive, but the specs list the drive as 7200 rpm and the model number is different. One of them must be wrong. Link to comment
Killer_B
No, I picked one up. 1.5TB Green 64mb WD15EARS 14 dec 2009 manufactured in Malaysia Link to comment
Rajahal
OK, so then the specs are wrong. Thanks for clearing that up! Link to comment
