SSH Connection Issue

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I recently installed DenyHosts and the SSH Config Tool and I think it may have messed up my settings. I disabled DenyHosts after running into connection refused responses.

When I try to connect now, it'll authenticate but then immediate close my session. I've tried connecting from within my server's network, from outside, and from my phone, and in all cases it immediately boots the connection after successfully logging in.

Does anyone know what this could be a result of? (And how I can fix it?)

I'm running unRAID 6.3.2.

Are you logging in as root?

Initially I was.

After installing the SSH Config Tool, though, the setting for disable root was enabled.

Now I'm logging in with a separate account, and even enabled root login, and both immediately boot me.
