August 1, 201015 yr Hi, I've just set up a new secundary unraid box with old P4 3GHz hardware to make room for new hdds in my main unraid box. The mobo is an epox 4PLA31 (usb1.1 + usb2 controllers) and the boot from usb is going in usb 1.1 mode whatever settings I try in the bios and whichever usb port I try. So the boot time is more than 10 minutes ! Even if I don't restart it often, it's quite annoying. Except that, once booted, everything is working fine. So I set up on my main server the dhcp/tftp/pxe servers to be able to pxe boot unraid from the network, falling back to usb1.1 local boot if the server is down. It's working flawessly and I now boot is some seconds ! My question is : it's working for the free (3 disks) version of unraid, but will it still work with the 6disks version I plan to purchase ? I can see the usb stick in Devices/Boot devices so I guess it should, but just wanted to be sure before buying a licence... Keep up the great work !

The license is simply a single file you put in your config folder on the flash drive. It has nothing to do with booting.
August 1, 201015 yr I can vouch for this. I do PXE boot in a pinch. As long as your USB drive is mounted on /boot, you are good.
