Intel iGPU audio not working in Windows 10 VM

Featured Replies

I've got video working fine, have installed the latest Intel drivers, but there's no sound card/device listed in the Sound section of Settings.  I see Intel Display Audio in Device Manager, and HD 4600 in Display, which both seem right, but I just don't see any sound device I can choose to get sound to the TV via HDMI

I read turning off Hyper-V might help, but it didn't help me.  i've disabled the audio in device manager, uninstalled it, uninstalled the driver, rebooted in every combination i can think of.  If I remove the Intel Display Audio then scan for hardware changes, I see a different sound profile in device manager, but still can't see anything in Sound.

I'm currently using i440fx-2.7, and am about to try other versions, but though maybe someone knows how to fix this and save me a few more hours of head scratching.

If anyone has this working, please let me know it can work, and I'll keep trying, otherwise, I'm out of ideas on how to get sound in the VM without another card :(

So, is there not a single person that has audio working with iGPU passthru?

I really don't want to have to buy a new video card to replace the one that just died.

Anyone??
