I have a large h630 tower with 10 drives/ssds, and I'm looking to build a decent unraid unit that I can edit 8K footage on. I would prefer not to buy another computer and have everything run in this one computer. Should I or do i have to setup a VM? What is the best route to take? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
trurl Posted June 13, 2018 Share Posted June 13, 2018 You don't really give us any details about how you intend to edit 8k footage, but you will definitely need a VM if you intend to run any complex software packages, since the unRAID OS isn't really suited for installing anything like that.
