June 22, 20188 yr Community Expert Start by running memtest, other than RAM the next likely culprit would be the Marvell controller.
June 22, 20188 yr Author Thanks for the fast reply johnnie! I will try that , just need to move the server first so i can use a monitor whit it and ill let you know hows it goes tommorow. Gonna check what drives are connected to the marvell controller once and se if i got room for them on other sata ports its this motherboard https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P8Z77V_DELUXE/specifications/. Should i dissable the controller in bios or if possible?

June 22, 20188 yr Author Memtest86+ 5.01 running now, how long will it take or will it run untill i exit out of it? And tomorow i´m gonna move 2 of the hdds thats connected to the marvel controller to a Startech 2 Port SATA 6 Gbps PCI Express SATA Controller Card instead and run a new parity sync and let you know how it goes! Thanks again for the help!

Ideally at least 24H, you can exit earlier if there's an error detected. 5 minutes ago, kenjo said: Startech 2 Port SATA 6 Gbps PCI Express SATA Controller Card Make sure it doesn't use a Marvell chipset.
June 22, 20188 yr Author Hmm the Startech card uses an marvell chip to , so maby thats why i was getting the same problem when using it the harddrives in another system and 2 of them were connected to the Startech card that time. So now im down to only 6 sata ports for 8 drives. Maby i should buy 2 bigger drives instead and change the parity and one storage drive...
June 22, 20188 yr Community Expert You can use Asmedia based 2 port controllers, e.g.: SYBA SY-PEX40039, note that not everyone has issues with Marvell controllers, but they should be avoided if possible.
