Hi 

I'm looking at unraid as the OS for my home Nas. It will be used by 3 users mainly to store data.

I have searched online if unraid has the option of making snapshot of the shares, so that is easy to recover data if some files are deleted or modified for accident (something like freenas' snapshots).

If this function isn't integrated in the GUI, do you know if there is any plug-in that allow to set and store periodicals snapshots?

Currently there's no GUI support, hopefully there will be in the future, you can use snaphots if you choose btrfs as the array filesystem, note that if a share uses more than one disk you'll need to snapshot all those disks, since with unRAID every disk is an independent filesystem, some ideas and examples in this thread:
