February 6, 20197 yr Hello, I'm sorry to post another one of these but it's actually driving me insane... It's to the point I can't use my server anymore because of it... So most of the problem lies in the TOWER/nobody permission problem, I can't move, edit or delete a file downloaded from sabnzbd... So I've tried all the things I've read on here on the forums... (Delete credentials, change name to the same as windows, net use * /del, accesing through an IP and not the name, docker safe new permissions, etc.) and I still can't get things to work properly. it seems like sometimes I'm able to fix it but then after some time it seems like it just returns out of nowhere... EDIT: this is in a public share... Thanks in advance! Kind regards! Tristan Edited February 6, 20197 yr by pintjesbier
February 6, 20197 yr Community Expert Is it just files created by sabnzbd? You don't mention Docker Safe New Permissions, which is probably the easy way to correct those files, but you would also need to get new files created with the correct permissions. I don't use SAB but I know there can be a similar problem with Transmission and you have to edit one of its settings files. What folder are your downloads in?
February 6, 20197 yr Ok, sorry for the late response the Docker Safe New Permissions ran until now... It didn't fix anything... I did try it before and sometimes it did fix something but for example right now, nothing has changed... EDIT: my downloads are in a sepêrate 'Downloads' share wich is public.. Sabnzbd downloads files into the according maps inside the downloads share... (Music, series, etc.) Edited February 6, 20197 yr by pintjesbier
February 6, 20197 yr Community Expert From the command line, the share named 'Downloads' is located at /mnt/user/Downloads. What I was trying to get at is a way to see the permissions on a specific file that is giving you a problem. Can you give a screenshot from Windows or something showing us the path (folders/subfolders) of a file you are having problems with?

February 6, 20197 yr Community Expert Docker Safe New Perms doesn't fix that? Are you sure you haven't excluded those folders from fixing? Have you seen this: https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/advanced/unix-permissions
February 6, 20197 yr This might have actually fixed it... Don't close it yet tho... Will do some more testing tommorow... Thanks in advance!
