July 8, 200719 yr I have been running unRaid basic for several months now and it is perfect. Speeds are very slow tho, and it takes me about 10 minutes to transfer 1 gig. Is this normal? Secondly, I want to add a few more drives and will upgrade to Pro 4.0. What do I need to do? Lastly, how can i block on access to unRaid server from certain computers in my network? Thanks!
July 9, 200718 yr 1GB/10 minutes is about 10X too slow, maybe worse. Please post your syslog - instructions are on the site. You also need to be a bit more upfront about what gear you have as it is possible you have old equipment where that speed is all you can expect. Instructions for upgrading to 4.0 are on the site as well. Lastly, there is basically no security at all in Unraid 4.0 so you cannot do what you are asking - it's being worked and (I believe) should be in 4.1 or 4.2. Bill
