Problem Cache Disk

Featured Replies

A week ago I woke up to find that my dockers were down.  After looking it showed that the cache disk was down so I shut down the server, unattached then reattached the ssd cables, and powered it back up.  The cache drive seemed to be working normal.  7-8 hours later I had the same problem and repeated the same steps with the same outcome.  A day or two later i had a reallocated sector ct 2.  The next day sector ct 3. The next day 4 and 5, all the way up to 7 a few days later.

Today when I got up, the cache drive was down again.  After trying the same steps as last week it showed my cache as mounting, but it also showed another cache drive under UD (I only have 1 cache drive).  After stopping the array again It only left me with the one under UD.  The name of the SSD (cache drive) was different as well.  It only shows the drive to have 16.4kb.  I replaced the SATA cable and continue to get the same response.  It asks me to format the cache drive, but fails everytime I do to XFS or BTRFS.  Any idea the problem?  Is the drive just dead?  Ill attach the diagnostics.  Thanks

That disk isn't reporting a serial number in those diagnostics, so Unraid can't keep track of it. Googling seems to turn up similar problems with that model on other systems.

Thanks for the quick reply. It seemed like the disk tome too but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. It worked fine for about 8 months but stuff happens.
