I think somebody there got out their calculator and fixed the math.

Hrm, out of stock...

No shipping on this, as with most Fries offers.  They have like one or two available for shipping and everything else is in stores.  So unless your the person who finds the deal, forget about shipping...

comes out to 97 with taxes in cali is that still a good buy?

$99 for a 2 TB drive is pretty much the standard right now, so it is decent but not great.

coo hmm i'll probably wait then till i see one of those steal of a deal type deals

I would too.  I also wouldn't buy one of these drives because I prefer green drives, but that's just me.

you notice a really big difference using the green drives?

If you need to do $20 rebate in order to get this same price tax included, will that be a good buy?  :D

This one has no rebate at all.

if really want to stress, for the similar price, i will rather choose 7200rpm. I used a WD green in my HTPC before later on i replaced it with a Seagate 7200rpm disk. forget about power consumption. in unRAID, most of time your disk is spun down.

It comes down to personal preference and usage patterns.  The way I use my server, about a half of my drives are spun up at any given time.  I seed torrents 24/7, and I point uTorrent to the server to find the files.  So for me green drives make a big difference in both power consumption and keeping heat down.  For others the better performance of 7200rpm drives may be more important.
