Kernel Panic if I plug any PCIe card in

Featured Replies

If I plug a 4 port Intel NIC into my GA-7PESH2 with the latest unRAID on it, I can boot fine.  If I reboot, I get a kernel panic that won't go away until I remove the card.

I gave up trying to diagnose the problem and just assumed it was a damaged NIC.

I just got a used Nvidia 750ti installed, and same thing, kernel panic on boot.  Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?  System has been rock solid other than that, so I am hesitant to blame my hardware.

but I haven't tried any other versions.

Not sure what other versions you mean, if root=sda doesn't help it's likely a different issue.

Tried installing 6.6.6 on several other USB drives same issue. Fresh install of 6.5.3 on same USB drives works fine.

I suppose there is an issue with 6.6.6...

Might as well give it a try.  But other than trying different versions I'm not sure what else to do.  Two different cards tried in 4 different slots, all with the same results.

Oh, yeah, you can try different releases.

Oh wow 6.6.7 is the only one that has this  issue.  Guess I'll still to previous versions, thanks.

Problem is back on 6.6.6.  It was good while it lasted.
