Default Folder Permissions

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I've managed to users and passwords setup and am looking at getting proftpd setup.

Its all up and running, except for some permission problems.

In the /mnt/user/ folder, I've got a user share of 'Vids', with permission 700 that was created by unraid. Are these able to be created with different permissions?

Or is there a way to run a chmod globally after the creation of these user shares?

Cheers,

Toonz

i had an issue when i first setup unRaid, where my windows desktops (all 3) couldn't see files which had permissions 0755, changing them all to 0744 fixed that

you can modify the file permissions in /etc/samba/smb.conf, but that will only change permisions for files you create via samba

Cheers, I'll give 0744 a go when I get a chance and see how it goes.
