I added a new disk to the array, which after the clearing process failed to mount due to "unrecognised partition".

I am happy to remove the disk (it was an old disk), but when I remove it the array says there is a "disk missing" which I need to replace.

The disk never got properly added to the array, hence does not have any data. 

I would just like to remove it, rather than replace it. How can I do that ? Thanks.
